(no subject)

I'm battling depression today. Actually, no - I'm showing depression my soft white underbelly today.

Thaaaat's better. Class, take notes: Accuracy pays.

Sincerely hoping this is just a hormonal thing, or at least a blood sugar thing. Something I can deal with.

I ate a late breakfast and already feel marginally better - better enough to write y'all, for instance. Maybe a walk at lunch and a big big salad will help.

I saw this, though, and I had to jump online and share. I thought some select few of you might appreciate, as I do, the Confluence of Awesome it represents:

David Thewlis, best known to American audiences for playing Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter movies, has joined the cast of Red 2, Summit/Lionsgate’s sequel to the hit 2012 [actually 2010] action movie [...] Thewlis is playing a character called The Frog, an information dealer who got his name by poisoning the water supply at the Kremlin using a poisonous Amazonian frog.

People! Do you understand what's happening here? They're making a sequel to my Number One Guilty-Pleasure Movie of 2010! And it will co-star my dear Remus! And he will play a cuddly bad guy - or possibly a cuddly reformed bad guy! Or possibly a cuddly good guy. I don't know yet. But in any case, he might even have a Russian accent!

This news is doing more to kick depression's butt today than any number of big big salads.

Oh! We accidently found Red and it quickly became a huge favorite with us! The first thing out of my mouth as the credits rolled was that there HAD to be a sequel! Woohoo, for sequels!
Here's hoping you feel better, dear! :)

More people should see "Red." The plot isn't exactly the most inspired, but it has Helen Mirren, who plays a assassin. Her male counterparts keep handing her weapons, combat boots and machine guns. I didn't know that was a fantasy of mine until I saw this movie. Now I wish that happened to me almost daily.
