The eggs and the bunny have nothing whatever to do with Christians. They are fertility symbols and were used by the pagans looooong before the Christians were a gleam in God's eye. The Catholic Church took over the holidays and the symbols of the pagans, and built churches on their holy sites in order to convert the pagans to their religion. I don't know where the ham fits in. Last I heard, pig was not a fertility symbol. ;)

I think that was probably the best gift you all could have given your mom for her birthday. Most people that age are downsizing and do not need more stuff. Yard work is the perfect gift.
