Groom and I treated the whole crew to a minor-league baseball game last night.



Our team lost, unfortunately, but not because of the way they grouped themselves at second base like this.

I was so happy to see the home team again, I even bought a baseball cap--my first! Normal caps, found in normal shops, do not fit my head. But at the stadium I found my first size 8 cap. Next to me, my brother pulled down a size 8 in another style. "Hey, this cap might actually fit me," he remarked. Ah ha! It's hereditary!

Today, they're going to Santa Cruz. Groom and I are tagging along, which is crazy because we've gotten like five hours sleep. But as the man says, I can sleep when I'm dead.

My daughter is sad to be missing activities, but between school and work, her weekends are impacted. She has made her choices as wisely as she knows how to do, and I respect her for it. I remember learning to make tough time management choices at this age.

It's not easy for kids to learn how to priorized. I remember the feeling.

Size 8 a small? usually these style have adjustments on them but I pull them so tight they warp.

One of my friends was in our state, then the national women's team and I used to love going to see her play when I could. Baseball isn't an enormous professional game over here, but there's a pretty good amateur league with a fair following. I must say, I like the woman's baseball games the best.

I also used to play softball in both primary and high school, both inter school at times and also just for fun. We'd often get a game going down the park with a mob of other kids just for a change from cricket. We'd seem to be mad keen on the two games in cycles.
