The end of an era

Back when I first got accredited on Perfect Imagination, and I was a green beta with no experience, I agreed to take on an angsty Dramione.

The author felt pretty sure it would be only 75k words or so.

One year, 54 chapters, and approximately a gazillion words later, I just now sent off the last pages.

We're done!

Brava, you! It's a sense of accomplishment that no doubt has a bittersweet edge, I'm sure.

And you'll be doing the same thing soon with Lay Me Low. It's a funny thing. I'll be glad to finish it, but at the same time there will be a great feeling of loss. I guess parents feel the same way when the chick leave the nest.

Oh, I'll be much sadder over the end of an era when LML wraps up. We really will have to celebrate here. But then there'll be so much to do afterwards!

I almost thought that Jules was referring to YOU, because i know how your stories take on a life of their own. Then it registered: DRAmione. Okay... NOT Teddy, then, lol. It's early and I'm not sufficiently caffeinated yet....
