Pajama party
Yesterday, I called a friend who is recovering at home from a hysterectomy, asking if she felt up to visitors yet. It's been a few weeks, and we've been texting, but she mostly sleeps and watches Housewives shows. Anyway, she said yes, come on over, but she apologized in advance that she would be wearing pajamas. She's the kind of person who feels less than dressed if she doesn't have on false eyelashes, let alone outdoor clothes!
So ... I went to her house dressed in pajamas, too, to make her feel less conspicuous. She opened the door, and then just stood there and laughed. It was totally worth any stares I might have gotten, walking down the street in red pajamas and a billowing robe.

And it's just the sort of thing I'd do, too. :) I have very little shame, especially in the name of giving a sick friend a smile and helping her feel comfortable.
May she have a very speedy recovery!
(Also, I will echo that everything is better with billowing robes. ;) )
