Fortress Around Your Heart
It's become tradition to make my brother a mix CD for his birthday. He wants CDs for his car. He's not the kind of guy who's comfortable with the more modern music streaming options - if disks were good enough in the 1990s, they're good enough now.
Also, he's not keen on music from this decade. So all the tunes he requested come from the 80s and 90s as well.
Major nostalgia rush! Like, totally!
Does anybody remember this one? My friend Eileen and I were mad for Sting back when his solo career took off. That chisled jaw. Mmm.

Indeed, a lot of good music! I've made him several mixes and I wind up listening to them as much as he does.

But, oh Lord, 80's videos... could this be any more 80's if it tried? The cryptic sets, the obvious 'taped' recording, the pretended contempt for money, the girl's huge hair and peach nail varnish - even her little contemplative steepled-finger look. Oh, heavens, the 80's. I loved them as much as I cringe over them now....

Yes, Sting, bless him, had a leaning toward the pretentious even then... "One song, and I'll choose it!" Back then, we would have said, "Oooooohhhh...."
Now we just grumble, "Wanker."
I would love to see some 80's love this summer!

INXS, Duran Duran, The Fixx, The Alarm, Culture Club, Adam Ant, Berlin...omg!
I shall have to raid my cds tonight and make a new playlist.
