Thanks for all your good wishes yesterday. I could honestly feel them across the miles. Today I am almost back to my old self, hardly able to comprehend the thoughts chasing through my brain yesterday.

On the beta front, when it rains, it pours. A few weeks ago, one of my regular fanfic writers told me she would have a piece ready to edit in a while. So I thought, in the meantime, I'd answer a request on [livejournal.com profile] hp_betas to edit a new piece. That person didn't immediately send me her piece, so I signed up a second time on the beta site.

As you can guess, this is the week that all three pieces were emailed to me. O_o

I can handle it and everything, but it's just ridiculous the way Life throws your responsibilities your way in fits and starts. Such a disorganized way to run a universe. I intend to write a strongly-worded letter.

The practical upshot of this is, if anybody wants to chat on Gmail the next few evenings, you know where I'll be. My handle is p.stgulik. Feel free!

*chuckles at such an appropriate icon*

I may not have actually posted, but I was sending well wishes your way, too, since oh I know that battle you had yesterday so well.

That IS the way things happen, though. You have everything planned out the way you can handle it best.. and BAM! Murphy's Law applies. I know you'll do a fantastic job on all three stories! *sends fortifying goodies of choice for the hard, long beta slog*

I always heard "Murphy was an optimist," but I never understood it until recently. It means he was always positive everything would go wrong. And I should have been! But I guess I needed the stimulus of due dates to keep my evenings interesting.

Well, since you've got all that free time on your hands, you should read one of my fics on FF.net. ;)

Love the userpic.

I'm glad today is a better day. *hugs*

I love "Losing My Religion"... great song.

Hey, you're already a cut above most of the authors on ff.net. ;-)

Seriously, I told you (through Teddy), some of us subscribe to non-writers because we want to get around to reading your favorite authors and stories.

i used to work as a free-lance editor, and that is how it always went - nothing nothing nothing, then everything at once. and i couldn't say no to any of it because of the nothing nothing nothing part, lol.

Heh. I would happily co-sign such a letter.
