Where to begin?

I can't in good conscience call my Location the "Desk of Doom" any more; the mess has spilled outward until it encompasses my whole room. All my good intentions wind up in here and they litter the floor and the surfaces. Here are a few:

A basket of large boxes of small boxes of beads and findings - these need to just be put away in their nice neat cubby at the top of the closet. I had intended to make wands with that coworker who likes Harry Potter but things didn't work out that day. Turns out all she really wanted to do was talk about work. I ask you! The place to talk about work is at work, tyvm.

VHS tapes - these need to be converted to DVDs. I have the software, but it's time-consuming.

A book on Irish cooking - to send to my sister in-law as soon as I have her other present done ...

Family photos - to scan and give as presents. My scanner sucks, so I have to have them outsourced.

The contents of my purse - when I was looking for my phone last night, I got impatient, turned my purse upside-down and shucked the contents onto the desk.

Books - to read, of course. Lots of them.

A Luna Lovegood t-shirt - this is the one I'm most mad about. I ordered it for myself, but it's quite small for being allegedly women's XL. Teefury would have taken it back, but they would only pay me back for the shirt, not postage here and back again. I got a little ticked off at that, and missed my window of opp to return it. Now it's officially mine.

I have been that soldier, m'dear. Only the Hubs' zealous cleaning has prevented me from turning the writing nook back into the Nook of shit.

I have made a command decision: I am checking up on LJ, then retiring for a nap. See if I don't!

I have a Room of Doom. I now do most of my drawing and late night surfing/computer work in between the small space between the door opening and the hallway. I'm still waiting for my House Elf, SPEW be damned. As for you T-shirt, don't you have a teenager who could use a new one? ;)
