How did you hear about HP? I had become vaguely aware of the growing buzz over the first book. I thought it sounded like a good book to read aloud to my daughter. A while later, my husband brought home Sorcerer's Stone and that was that - we both became hooked. Later, the kid read them herself just to keep up with us.
