A question of style
Nov. 24th, 2014 06:47 pmMust everybody try to imitate the look and feel of Gmail? First it was Yahoo Mail. Now comes LiveJournal's spiffy new dashboard. When the Google robot overlords do arrive, I for one will refuse to +1 them.
In true Thanksgiving tradition, I waited until the last minute to make arrangements with family to split cooking responsibilities. Either nobody else was that bothered with the dilemma, or they were waiting for me to finally call and settle things for them. There's always one in the family, isn't there? The one who makes lists and calls around until everyone's coordinated.
Buddy's long-delayed memorial service will take place the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And I have a fashion conundrum. At work, my clothing style could be categorized as Thrift Store Professor - cardigans from Goodwill, striped blouses, grey or black slacks, sensible black shoes. Summer or winter, though in the worst heat in summer I sometimes switch to t-shirt under the cardigan, heh.
HOWEVER, in a moment of insanity last night, in preparation for the memorial service, I bought ... a dress. Sleeveless, with a bodice and flaired skirt, showing cleavage and everything. I will have to borrow a little jacket to wear over it for propriety's sake. But still! Girl clothes! I don't know what I was thinking.
